Our story
SpecScan started with a simple observation: kitchen designers and joinery manufacturers spend too much time translating drawings into spreadsheets. A single kitchen project can involve dozens of cabinets, each with unique dimensions, materials, and finishes — and every detail has to be captured accurately for quoting and production.
We built SpecScan to automate that translation. By combining computer vision with an understanding of joinery terminology and standards, our engine reads design drawings — including PDFs — and generates clean, structured specification sheets in seconds instead of hours.
Today, we work with designers, cabinet makers, and joinery manufacturers who value precision and speed. Our goal is to give them back the time they currently spend on paperwork, so they can focus on craft and customer relationships.
